Meet the Integrative Physiotherapy Team

Dr. Nicole Anders-Prosen

Dr. Joe Burkeland
Dr. Joe took the long road to becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy, which helped him develop a holistic treatment style. Dr. Joe grew up in Wisconsin, spent two years in Munich, Germany playing and coaching football, and travelled all over the country for his clinical internships before landing here in Fort Collins in 2020. Throughout his travels, he held jobs as a strength & conditioning coach, personal trainer and consultant with community health clinics. Then, he decided to pursue his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Wisconsin, where he sought out extra education regarding concussion recovery, vestibular rehabilitation and recovery from neurological conditions. Since graduating as a DPT in 2020, Joe has sought to blend orthopedic and neurological rehab techniques to get you moving again while also helping you build a healthy, sustainable lifestyle!
Dr. Joe was drawn to Integrative Physiotherapy because of their thoughtful, personalized and expert care. He believes that this is how PT should be! He officially joined the team in September 2024. Outside of IP, he runs his own business and coaches CrossFit classes. He lives in Fort Collins with his wife and their two goldendoodles, Kenai and August. You’ll likely see him and his family traveling, hiking, working out or exploring the food and coffee scenes here in northern Colorado!

Dr. Kate Gutekunst
Dr. Kate took a hands-on path to becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy, shaped by years spent coaching, riding horses, and studying the science of movement. Originally from the Northeast, Kate earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont and has since built her career helping people return to functional movement, confidently!
Kate has advanced training in Vestibular Rehabilitation, Active Release Technique, and Dry needling. Her treatment style blends manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and strength-based rehabilitation to address the root causes of dysfunction rather than just the symptoms. She has a special passion for working with equestrians, outdoor athletes, and active individuals who want to move better and feel stronger in their everyday lives.
Dr. Kate was drawn to Integrative Physiotherapy because of the clinic’s collaborative, patient-centered approach and the shared belief that movement is one of the best tools for healing. When she’s not in the clinic, Kate can be found hiking, skiing, endurance horseback riding, and exploring the beautiful landscaped of Colorado!
